  • Methodology: This RIsk Assessment also includes the methodology behind it so that you can see how the assessment has been structured.
  • Hierarchy of Control: The 'Hierarchy of Control Measures' gives you the list in order of priority of what must be done in what order so that you can see how the conclusions to this assessment were made.
  • Hazard: Each 'Hazard' involved is listed in order so that you can clearly see the list of identified hazards when considering this activity.
  • Who Is At Risk: The person or persons at risk are also clearly listed against each hazard so you can clearly identify who is most at risk.
  • Likelihood and Severity Ratings: These ratings are listed in the next corresponding columns and are set on the basis that there are no control measures in place so you can assess how likely it is that your staff may have to engage and the severity of the risk of doing so, and you are free to change these to make them relevant to your own specific work environment.
  • Overall Risk Rating: This gives the overall risk (in terms of High, Medium or Low) in the next column based on the combination of the likelihood and severity ratings so you can easily see the level of risk posed, and (again) you are free to change these to make them relevant to your own specific work environment.
  • Control Activity Options: This column lists what can be regarded as 'suitable and sufficient control measure options' for each hazard listed so that you can see what you need to consider to keep your staff safe.
